...And i'm back! Here is a clone of the EQD Hoof. I did this as a trade to my friend Evan. He gave me all the AWESOME Spawn figures before. His original hoof died and was broke due to COVID-19 and him being out of work. He did find a couple more spawn figures and what can I say...I'm a sucker for spawn stuff! So I built him a new Hoof pedal. This is almost a exact copy. I used some 2n2222 Transistors for this build, I think they sound a bit better. This wasn't my cleanest wiring job but hey, they can't all be perfect! Anyways here are a couple pictures. I didn't shoot a video but we all know what a modified muff sounds like. Enjoy!

2 builds for Bruce
Hello All,
Here are a couple builds I just finished for my friend Bruce in Pray For Sound. The Admirer is a Hamlet Delay with a momentary feedback switch. The trimpot in the base plate controls when the oscillation starts after pressing the switch. Hats of to Jon (midwayfair) for making a truly beautiful sounds delay. I absolutley love this circuit.
The second is a Sunn model T preamp. The PCB was developed by Benoit at Coda Effects. Super fun and very MASSIVE sounding. Thanks for looking.

The Great Destroyer
Hello all,
This is my layout of the "Machete". The Machete was designed by Rej and his team at grind customs fx. This is an Ugly Face with LFO mods. The LFO has an on off switch that bypasses the the lfo all together. I designed the PCB out of "need", I have a friend that is looking for one and Rej's store is down. I asked if i could do my own layout and the "unicorn slayer" gave me permission. Any way her are some pictures and a quick video. Thanks for looking / watching.

Hunter Fuzz
Hello all,
A while ago I did a work a like to the Shoegazer fuzz. This is a Soda Meiser with a Torn's Peaker cascaded into it. Its a VERY cool and Doomy sounding fuzz. Each on their own can get pretty gnarly but together they can conquer galaxies!! I used an etched face plate that I did the art layout for. I'll try to get a demo up soon. Thanks for reading!

Been SUPER busy!
Hey All,
I've been insanely busy as of late. Including staring a new job at Fishman! I've completed a few builds but haven't had too much time in the shop. Here are a few that I've finished since my last post.
This is a "Dummy" box that i did for Darren. It basically simulates a speaker load on a guitar head so you can do "silent" recording. Here is a picture.

This is a 0415 fuzz synth that I did for Chris in Pray For Sound. The Faceplate was etched on black PCB and the art layout was also done by me.
The last is a Mastodon Fuzz. The PCB Layout was done by me for my friend at BLMS. He sells them in his store HERE. The art and enclosure etch we both done by me as well.

Utility Pedals
Hey All,
So this will be a quick one. These are a couple of utility pedals that a past customer had asked me for. He was looking for a signal buffer and an A / B switch. He needed the A / B switch to switch between the volume and wah out put of his expression pedal. He wanted a buffer because...well he needed a buffer in he circuit. That is all. Well here they are there is no demo video only because...its kind of pointless. I acid etched the enclosures. Thanks for reading.

WTF(uzz)
Hello Readers,
I did a multi build a while back and realized that I really loved the fuzz that I put into it. It isn't a super complicated build buy any means but this thing is BRUTAL! I love the tone and minimal options on it. There are 2 toggles and 1 knob. The toggle on the right controls the wave and the toggle on the left is an intensity boost. The knob controls the overall output of the fuzz, This is by far one of my favorites. I might just do a Fabbed PCB for it. It is a DBA Harmonic Transformer clone. The enclosure art was done by Dan at A.D.D Effects. Here are some pictures for you. I'll try to get a video up soon. Thanks guys.

D-Verb rehoused
Hello all,
Lets start with the easiest. A long time ago I build a mini reverb for my friend Darren (see LINK). He texted me and said that it was acting weird. It turns out that one of the jacks came loose and the threads got stripped. So I grabbed the pedal from him and decided to do a new enclosure for it. The paint was chipping on the old one and it needed a face lift. you'll see all that in the pictures. The circuit is a 1776 Rub-A-Dub reverb. The PCB layout was done by Jon Patton and etched by me. If you are planning to attempt this build BUY MORE THAN ONE ENCLOSURE. I can a;most guarantee you will screw up on the first one (if you're a dummy like me haha!).here are a couple pictures.

Time to play "Catch Up"
Alright, so after the mahem of the lats build I took about a week and a half off from building. Now I'm gonna box up a few projects that I have sitting on my bench. Pretty sure I have 5 or 6 projects that are ready to be boxed. I remember building a bunch before Matt (the crazy multi build I just did) got in touch with me. I think I even have artwork for some of them too. Here is the list of stuff waiting to be completed.

A couple of customer builds
Hello All,
So I have here a couple of builds for people that have emailed me for a special request. The first is an A / B / Y switch. This was done for a forum member by the mane of Space6oy on the ILF forum. He wanted this as an alternative to getting a Morley switch. The reason he didn't want the Morley switch was because it only runs on batteries. So I did a custom dill and art lay out for him and put it together. Here are a couple pictures.
Next we have an UglyFace. This is actually a GCFX Machete. The Machete was based on the UglyFace which is a IC driven filter fuzz. There were aftermarket mods done to most of these that incorperated an LFO section to make it crazier. I Have never played one before I built this. now I "NEED" one. It's pretty cool, I'll post the video after I upload it. Dan Minner from A.D.D. Effects did the enclosure for the UglyFace. MARVEL at his work!

Stomptown Tremolo
Hello All,
Here is, believe it or not, my first tremolo build. This is a Stomptown Lycanthrope board. I received this over a year ago and thought I lost it. Then I opened this enclosure up, for another build, and found this board tapped to the inside of it. So, I built it up and boxed in this blue sparkle enclosure. I must say kudos to Jon @ Stomptown. This board is beautifully laid out and is a very easy to build. It fired right up, no issues or troubleshooting needed. Plus the rate LED flashing when the pedal is on is cool.
The tremolo its self is super smooth and very musical. The controls are responsive and well laid out. Like most Tremolos this uses an LDR (light dependant resistor). The LDR requires a light source to create the tremolo effect. There is an LED on the other side of the LDR creating that light source. Many people "roll their own" I used a Vactrol on this build. This is a pre-rolled LDR made by Silonex. The part is NSL-7053, these are supposed to be pretty comparable to the Excelitas VTL5C1. I don't have any of the VTL5C1 s to A / B it against but this Trem sounds great.
I didn't do any art on this build on purpose. I got this enclosure from Pedal Parts Plus as a missdrill. I loved the blue sparkle and didn't want to cover it up. So I used a silver paint pen and just threw the logo on it. Here are a couple pictures. Thanks for reading.

Holy MOTHER OF ELECTRONICS!!!
So a while ago a fellow builder (Dan Minner) and I started to collaborate on a multi build that was based heavily on the "post-rock" and "post-punk" genre of music. Specifically for ambient and textural sounds, more or less that "wall of sound" type effect. This was going to be very in depth and complicated for us. The original design of the enclosure/s was scrapped due to a fabrication issue and we ended up using the biggest Hammond Enclosure we could find. This resulted in a pedal that is almost the size of a sheet of paper. It's massively AWESOME. Dan did the layout for the knobs and all the art work on the enclose. I Etched all the PCBs and assembled this monster. Here are the Circuits that the pedal is made up of.
Way Huge - Red Llama Clone - This is controlled by the Level and Gain controls on the pedal. It is a fuzz type effect and also acts as the main on / off of the pedal. None of the other effects will come on with out this engaged. You can how ever turn the other effects on before engaging the RL.
Dead Astronaut - Flying Saucer Reverb - This is a VERY spacey / oscillating reverb. This is controlled but the Reverb Mix, Damp, Tone, OSC switch, and hidden Bright switch (red cap). This is probably the most versatile reverb I have ever had the chance to play with.
Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay - This is a great clean sounding PT2399 delay. It leaves nothing to be desired in the delay field. This is controlled by the Delay Mix, Feedback, and, Delay pots. Great for those longer, almost oscillating repeats.
Parasit Studios - Sonic Reducer- Your 8 Bit MADNESS! This is controlled buy the 8-Bit toggle switch, Rate, and Resolution pots. This adds that extra weirdness that both Dan and I love. Plus Parasit Studios has some of the coolest original design effects out there.
Now this being my first multi build it was a bit of a challenge. I had to figure out how to wire 4 circuits together. Most people start out with 2, but no...I HAD TO DO 4! I did it though. This thing is awesome. I will try to do a demo of it this weekend, Thanks for reading. for now here are some pictures.

Time to Verb it UP!!!
Hey Everyone,
I know it's been a while and there are many reasons for that. First is I've been super busy at work and haven't had a ton of time to devote to building. Second is I've had a couple projects on my bench that have been giving me a lot of trouble. Third I tore my left calf muscle a couple weeks ago. The last reason has been tough, physically any ways. Getting up and down the stairs isn't the easiest with this stupid cast on.
Anyways, here is one of the projects that has been giving me some trouble. Its a Madbeans Moodring. This wonderful circuit is a reverb, using the Acoustitronics Brick, with a PT2399 delay circuit incorporated to add delay in series with the reverb. The Delay portion of this is works with the reverb and blended in after the reverb. The delay "time" is labeled as "Space", If it is turned all the way down then the delay is off. The "Mood" knob controls the tone for the reverb. The "Dwell" knob controls how much reverb is fed into the delay / pregain stage. The "Ring" knob controls how much reverb is mixed with the dry (non affected) signal. Finally the switch labeled "Kill" is a dry kill. This cuts all of the dry signal out of the output. This allows for some really cool ambient sounds.
This is by far one of the cooler reverbs I've played with. I love the tone and over all ambience of this pedal. I was able to get this in a 1590BB. It took a little fudging but I did it. The board was designed to fit in a 125b. The enclosure is a "mis drilled" powder coated enclosure from Pedal Parts Plus. I admit the In / Out / 9V jacks are a little awkward but I kind of like them like that. The Space Ship you see on the pedal is the Ishimura form the video game series Dead Space. Layout and design of the graphics were done by me. Thanks for reading. More to come soon.
